Principal Investigator

Prof. Seong Ho Jeong
Prof. Seong Ho Jeong received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA. He worked for Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) as Senior Member of Research Staff from 1990 to 2001. He is currently Professor of Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) and has led various industry projects as Principal Investigator in the areas of multimedia communications and applications including eHealth, wireless/mobile networks, 5G/future networks, QoS, QoE, home networks, cross-layer design, networked robot, mobility management, signaling, CCN/CDN, and others.

Postdocs

Dr. Kamrul Hasan
Dr. Kamrul Hasan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2010. Subsequently, he pursued advanced studies, achieving both his Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Information and Communications Engineering (ICE) from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), South Korea, in 2016 and 2022, respectively. Currently, he holds the position of Postdoctoral Fellow within the Department of ICE at HUFS, South Korea. His expansive research portfolio encompasses a diverse array of domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Wireless Networks, Vehicular Communications (V2X), Content-Centric Networking (CCN), Information-Centric Networking (ICN), Blockchain, Device-to-Device (D2D) Communication, 5G/6G Networks, Future Internet Communication Systems, and the integration of AI within Mobile Networks.

Graduate Students

Harun Ur Rashid
Harun Ur Rashid is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in South Korea, starting his journey in September 2021. Previously, he pursued his M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Cukurova University in Adana, Turkiye, where he was honored with the Turkish Government Scholarship. Harun's academic background includes a B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Mymensingh Engineering College, affiliated with the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. His research interests span various domains: AI/ML modeling and prediction, Wireless networks, 5G/6G mobile communication, image classification, reinforcement learning, and federated learning.

Myeongseop Yoon
Myeongseop Yoon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in South Korea. Previously, he received a bachelor's degree from the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hanyang University. His research interests span various domains including AI/ML modeling and prediction, Wireless networks, 5G/6G mobile communication, image classification, reinforcement learning, and federated learning.

Selamawit Chane
Selamawit Chane is an integrated Master's/PhD program student in the department of information and communication Engineering at Hankuk University of foreign studies in South Korea since 2023. She received her Bs.C in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2021 from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, in Ethiopia. Her research theme includes: Application of deep learning on wireless networks, 6G communication and computer vision.

Loret Abiy Awoke
Loret Abiy Awoke is an M.Sc. candidate in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). Loret’s academic background includes a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ethiopia. Her research interests include 5G/6G networks, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Wireless Networks, and Reinforcement Learning.

Woobean Seo
Woobean Seo is a M.Sc. candidate in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in South Korea, starting his journey in September 2021. Woobean's academic background includes a B.Sc. in Information and Communications Engineering at HUFS. His research interests span various domains: Embedded system, Deep learning model pipelining, Mobile edge computing, deep reinforcement learning, and real-time systems.

GaYoung Kim
GaYoung Kim graduated from the M.S. program in Information and Communication Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in August 2023. Prior to that, she received her B.S. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Her research interests span a variety of areas: AI/ML modeling and prediction, deep reinforcement learning, association learning, wireless networks, 5G/6G mobile communications, and edge computing.
